VISA TYPES AND THEIR REQUIREMENTS

Tourist, Business, Eea/EU and Swiss national Family member, Airport Transit

Tourist Visa

  • Visa application form.Fully completed and signed.
  • Passport copy.A copy of the information pages of your valid, signed passport with at least 1 year of remaining validity. Please do NOT send your original passport.
  • Passport-type photograph.Include 2 passport style photos, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. You may also choose to upload a photo to your order for us to print. There is a charge associated with this service.
  • Proof of status.A copy of immigration status in the country of residence such as a resident card, work, or study permit. This document must be valid for a minimum of 3 months.
  • Proof of residency.Copy of driver’s license, state issued ID, or major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electric, Sewage) for the most recent month, showing the applicant’s name and current address.
  • Health insurance.Proof of international health insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, specifically covering travel to Schengen states is required. The policy should cover all expenses for repatriation, emergency medical aid, and hospital treatment for the period of stay..
  • A copy of round trip tickets or detailed itinerary for the duration of the trip. The applicant’s name must be on itinerary.
  • Bank statement.A copy of the applicant’s last 3 monthly bank statements showing proof of sufficient funds. The statement must clearly show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balance of the account, and the date of the statement.
  • Employment letter.A copy of a letter from your employer on business letterhead, with contact details, purpose and duration of the trip and that you will be returning to your current job. If you are self-employed, please include a copy of your business license and tax return. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.

 

Business Visa

  • Visa application form.Fully completed and signed application form.

  • Embassy Fee.An Embassy fee of 80 Euros must be paid at the time of appointment.
  • Business Support Letter.A support letter from the sending company which introduces the applicant, states the nature of the trip, and specifies the type and desired validity of the visa
  • Business invitation.A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Greece. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Consulate of Greece, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager. The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
    Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
    State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in the destination country.
    Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (i.e. a one year multiple entry business visa).

 

EU Family Member

The applicant shall present each of the supporting documents (including the passport, the UK residence permit and previous Schengen visas) with the visa application

  1. Please complete the online application for monce it fully completed and signed in both places indicated. Please ensure you print and bring the completed form with you when attending for your appointment
  2. Passport (original + photocopy of passport bio data page), with at least 2 blank visa pages, valid for at least 90 days beyond the return date of the trip and not issued more than 10 years ago as of the date of return from your scheduled trip. The same applies to passports issued more than 10 years ago that have since been extended. In addition photocopies of previous (last 3 years) Schengen visas need to be provided, if any. When applicant opts for passport collection, then an extra photocopy of passport bio data page needs to be provided.
  3. UK residence permit (original + photocopy – If card type please copy both sides), valid for at least 90 days beyond the return date of the trip to the Schengen Area.
  4. One (1) photo is required. Photos that do not comply with these standards will not be accepted.
  5. Fully paid return travel tickets: If paid through a travel agency, then receipt, invoice or payment confirmation should be provided. When travelling by car, please provide driver’s driving license, car registration, car insurance and travel tickets (ferry or Eurotunnel) showing the car’s registration number and passengers’ names.
  6. Original certificate that proves the relationship of the applicant with the EU citizen (marriage certificate, registered partnership contract, family status certificate etc.). Please note that the marriage or the partnership needs to be registered with the competent authorities. Marriages between a Greek citizen and a third country national need to be registered with the relevant Municipality in Greece according to the Greek legislation). In case the marriage certificate or the registered partnership contract has been issued from another country (other than the UK) an apostle stamp is needed or legalization from the relevant Embassy, in case the country is not a member of the Hague Convention
  7. Passport of EU family member – original + photocopy.
  8. Proof that the applicant is accompanying the EU citizen or is going to join them (confirmed flight booking or ticket).
