Temporary Canada Visa

Temporary Canada visa, generally a single or multiple entry visa, offers a person to stay up to a specified period as defined by the Canadian Consulate or Border Services Officers (BSO) and is no more than 6 months.

Single entry visa enables the person to enter Canada only once with a duration of stay up to 6 months. However, a multiple entry visa enables the person to enter Canada multiple times until their visa expires.

Below are the types of Canadian Temporary Visas:

  • Canada Tourist Visa. The Visitor Visa or the Tourist visa enables the holder to enter Canada for the purposes of tourism in the country.
  • Canada Student Visa. Those students who have secured an admission from a Canadian university to complete their studies are eligible for a Canadian student. If you intend to go to Canada to study for less than 6 months, then you can only get a TRV visa, but for more than 6 months of studies, you will need a Student Visa.
  • Temporary Residence Permit. This permit is offered to people who need to go to Canada for different purposes but are otherwise not admissible for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). This permit is issued only for the length of time that the person needs to be in Canada, for example 2 weeks for a workshop etc.
  • Working Holiday Visa. The Canada Working Holiday is a random selection visa that is given to young people from 30 countries, so they can work in Canada and travel. Applicants submit their applications and wait to be randomly selected to apply for the work permit.
