The Spanish Consulate issues visas for Spain and for the other Schengen states. The visa provides access to 26 Schengen countries in total. However, the Schengen Visa applications will only be accepted by The Spain Visa Application Centre if Spain is the country of maximum stay. Incase, a similar duration of stay in several Schengen states, Spain must be the first point of entry if making an application at the Spain Visa application centre.
One has to be present in person to submit one’s visa application.
The Spain Visa Application Centre does not guarantee a visa upon application. The issuance or refusal of a visa is at the sole discretion of The Consulate of Spain.
All fees are non-refundable despite the outcome.
You are free to re-apply at any time if your application has been refused earlier. There is no time gap to be observed after a refusal to make a fresh application.
The Spain Visa Application Centre will post your application to the address provided at the time your application is registered. Applications can be returned via Special Delivery, at a cost 25 per passport/application. This service is restricted to Secure Mail coverage in the UK and Northern Ireland only. Photocopies of your Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate are the only documents that will be accepted as proof of relationship. Photocopies of your spouse’s national passport can be accepted as proof of nationality.
