1. Is the visa valid for Spain only?
The Spanish Consulate issues visas for Spain and for the other Schengen states. The visa provides access to 26 Schengen countries in total. However, the Schengen Visa applications will only be accepted by The Spain Visa Application Centre if Spain is the country of maximum stay. Incase, a similar duration of stay in several Schengen states, Spain must be the first point of entry if making an application at the Spain Visa application centre.
2. Do I have to come in person to visa application center?
One has to be present in person to submit one’s visa application.
3. Will I get my Spain visa at the end of the process?
The Spain Visa Application Centre does not guarantee a visa upon application. The issuance or refusal of a visa is at the sole discretion of The Consulate of Spain.
4. Are my visa fees refundable in case of visa refusal?
All fees are non-refundable despite the outcome.
5. When can I re apply in case of a refusal?
You are free to re-apply at any time if your application has been refused earlier. There is no time gap to be observed after a refusal to make a fresh application.
6. Can the Spain visa application post my passport?
The Spain Visa Application Centre will post your application to the address provided at the time your application is registered. Applications can be returned via Special Delivery, at a cost 25 per passport/application. This service is restricted to Secure Mail coverage in the UK and Northern Ireland only. This is an optional service.
7. Can the Spain Visa application centre prepare my application for me?
No. The Spain Visa Application Centre does not prepare visa applications, only accepts and processes applications.
8. Can I apply at the Spain visa application centre if I wish to visit to Rome or Paris?
Please note. Your mainstay must be in Spain only to be eligible to apply for your Schengen visa at the Spain Visa Application Centre.
9. What should I provide as a proof of relationship or my spouse’s nationality?
Photocopies of your Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate are the only documents that will be accepted as proof of relationship. Photocopies of your spouse’s national passport can be accepted as proof of nationality.
