Germany Business Visa

A Germany Business visa is a short-stay Schengen visa, which permits the visa holder to enter and stay in Germany up to 90 days within 6 months unless, it is not specified differently in the visa sticker. It is issued to people who come to Germany to perform business making, attend meetings, sign contracts, etc.

Germany Business Visa Requirements

There is a number of requirements not only for German business visa, but for all types of German visas, which you will have to meet, in order to be able to obtain a visa that allows you to enter Germany.

The list of required documents for Business visa to Germany are as following:

  • German Business Visa application form. Fully completed and signed
  • Passport copy. A copy of the information pages of your valid, signed Afghanistan passport with at least 1 year of remaining validity. Please do NOT send your original passport.
  • Passport-type photograph. Include 2 passport style photos, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. You may also choose to upload a photo to your order for us to print. There is a charge associated with this service.
  • Proof of residency. A copy of immigration status in the country of residence such as a resident card, work, or study permit. This document must be valid for a minimum of 3 months after your intended departure from the Schengen area.
  • Itinerary. A copy of round trip tickets and detailed itinerary for the duration of the trip. The applicant’s name must be on itinerary.
  • Proof of accommodation. A copy of hotel reservations or other lodgings for the duration of the trip. The applicant’s name must be on the reservation.
  • Travel insurance. Proof of international travel insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, specifically covering travel to Schengen states is required. The policy should cover all the expenses for repatriation, emergency medical aid, and hospital treatment for the period of stay.
  • Bank statement. A copy of the applicant’s last 3 monthly bank statements showing proof of sufficient funds. The statement must clearly show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balance of the account, and the date of the statement.
  • Employment letter. A copy of a letter from your employer on business letterhead, with contact details, purpose and duration of the trip and that you will be returning to your current job. If you are self-employed, please include a copy of your business license and tax return and letter from your accountant. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund. For unemployed or homemaker, please provide 3 most recent monthly bank statements showing your name as an account holder, bank name and account balance.
  • Embassy Fee. An Embassy fee of 80 Euros must be paid after filling out the online application form.
  • Proof of status. A copy of immigration status in the country of residence such as a resident card, work, or study permit. This document must be valid for a minimum of 3 months after your intended departure from the Schengen area.
